Background Reading

The modelling covered in this course will be based extensively on the use of drc and bayesnec. drc The drc helpfile contains considerable information it’s use, with the associated publication covering many of the important details here. A simple tutorial for dose-response modelling in R using drc can be found here. bayesnec For bayesnec, there is substantial background information and examples on the github website at: https://open-aims.github.io/bayesnec/, including: single model usage, multi-model usage, detailed information on the available models, information on priors, and using posteriors for comparing across model sets. NSEC Information on the new metric for estimating a no-toxicity, the no significant effect concentration (NSEC) is detailed in this recent publication. A newly developed tool for estimating NSEC values from bayesnec and drc models can be found here.
